Watch the game, watch the players that are in late position and the button when you are in the blind. If you see them constantly raising in big after everyone folds/limps around to them just come over the top of them with another 4xbb or 5xbb bet. They should back down.

Another thing you can do is abuse the poor little small blind. The small blind is the only player you will have a positional advantage over when you are in the big blind. You need to use this. Stealing half a big bet even once per 2 or 3 rounds really adds up over time or in a tournament.
You can do this a few ways. If the small blind limps in to meet you, which they will practically always do, just come over the top of him with a 3xbb. Small blinds will almost always limp in and practically never play unless they are holding pockets. And even then they only have a one in eight chance of really hitting hard.
