How To Play Texas Hold Em Poker – What You Need To Know To Play

If you want a fast and exciting game that allows you to look for new strategies and solutions, then playing Texas Hold Em is for you. But to play this amazing game, you should know the Texas Hold Em Poker Rules.

The rules are accurate, clear and established, so it is very easy to learn them. The game has several basic elements: blinds and button, pre-flop, flop, turn, river and displaying and comparing hands.

We will begin with the blinds and button. They are two things standing on top of each hand of the Texas Hold Em. The button is a disk that is placed in front of the player and shows who will be the dealer for the hand.

The blinds are forced bets. They are made by players on blind before seeing their cards. They are made by either player, located on the left side of the button.

The first player to announce is the small blind and the second player to play announces the big blind. The big blind is usually equal to twice the amount of the small blind. After each game, the button and both blinds are moving one place left.

The pre-flop is when players get their pocket cards (2 cards face down). Then they must decide whether to play or quit. The player must decide whether to remain inside or outside the hand and he is showing his decision by making a bet when it came his turn or by increasing the bet.

Betting occurs consistently: starting from the first player, which is located to the left of the dealer and continues around the table in a clockwise direction. Each player is allowed to do the following: to refuse to pay, to match a former players bet or raise it.

During the betting pre-flop players who wish to remain in the hand, must pay at least the big blind. In cases where the previous player has increased stake, must pay the increased amount to remain in the hand. Of course, the player can always refuse to bet.

When the turn comes back to the player with the big blind, he is entitled to raise the bet if nobody did it. All sums paid by the players in the pot before the cards are dealt will be considered as part of their total bet. Following the announcement of all bets the three cards of the flop are dealt.

The flop consists of three cards which are placed face up in the middle of the table. These are community cards and all players can use them to draw their hand. Again a betting round occurs, similar to already described above.

Here, there is an additional move available – the check. This is a situation where there is no bet to pay but the player wants to continue to play as a check. After this round the next community card is dealt.

The fourth card or the Turn is dealt face up in the middle of the table and is also a community card. And again it is time for betting. The active players who remain after this round of betting can see the last card.

The last card is River. She is put with the other 4 cards on the table and now the players have all cards. The aim of the consistent distribution of the cards is to get the best poker hand with five cards of the seven available. It is the last round for betting.

Players who remained at the end of the betting started the final stage of the game: displaying and comparing hands. The player who committed the last bet shows his cards first. And after this all active players show their cards and broadcast the winner.

The winner is the player who has the best hand of five cards. If it happens that two players have identical hands, the profit is divided between them.

It is extremely important to emphasize when you play Texas Hold Em poker the players can use any combination of two hole and five community cards. This means that the players can use only the community cards to form his hand. You cannot find this in any other poker game!
