Costly Texas Holdem Mistakes To Make When Bluffing

Costly Texas Holdem Mistakes - BluffingIf you make one of these Texas Holdem mistakes when bluffing you are sure to lose a massive amount of money. If you want to bluff read this.

Bluffing is what makes poker poker. What would a game of Texas Holdem be without a bluff. Bluffing can be extremely profitable – I mean come on, winning with nothing? Sadly, it can also be disastrous if you do it incorrectly.

There are a lot of pointers on how to bluff correctly. Instead of doing it right, how about just ‘not’ doing it ‘not wrong’. You know what I mean?

Texas Holdem Mistakes When Bluffing Can Cost A Lot

If you make on of these mistakes it will probably cost you a lot of money. So avoid these first before you do anything else. Plus, these are the ones that get most players too, so you’ll be ahead of most once you finish this article and follow the steps it outlines.

First Costly Texas Holdem Mistake: Bluffing Newbies

When you bluff a newbie it is practically a waste of time. Newbies don’t understand pot odds, they don’t understand what the cards on the board mean and can indicate, they probably don’t even know what a scare card is.

How can you bluff someone that doesn’t have the capacity to realise you could have a massive hand (that you are pretending to have). You can’t. This is why you should never bluff a newbie.

Second Costly Texas Holdem Mistake: Not Knowing How To Bluff

This one can be even more costly than the first. If you don’t know how to bluff, don’t just bluff randomly trying to do it. Sure, it might work once or twice, but you will go down really quickly.

There is a special art/science to bluffing. It involves a lot of complex stuff like psychology, betting, cards, timing – pretty much what Holdem is anyway. But if you aren’t confident that you even have a remote idea of what to do, don’t try it.

Now, there is one more mistake you can make in poker, and it is probably the most costly of any. I’m sure that as you are reading this you are becoming aware that there is a lot to learn about poker. And you are probably realizing that the only thing that separates the winners from the losers is knowledge.

And this is exactly correct. The only thing you need to make a lot of money from poker is just to learn how. That’s it. If you want to become a great poker player just go out and learn as much as you can. However, one more point. If you do not learn you are actually going backwards because everyone else around you is learning and getting ahead of you. Understand?
